Detailed Itinerary

Day 1.  Arrival & transfer to the hotel- Mabamba Wetland Tour

You will be picked up by our experienced driver guide upon arrival at the airport, have a short briefing about the trip, and then proceed to the hotel for refreshments. In the afternoon, for a tour of Mabamba wetland home to the rare shoebill stork and many other bird species. Enjoy a canoe ride in the swamp as you search for the famous birds. Dinner and overnight at Victoria Rock Resort

Day 2: Transfer to Kibale National Park

After morning breakfast, check out, and hit the road headed to Kibale Forest National Park the “Primates Capital of Africa” located in western Uganda.  The 6-7 hours drive takes you through different towns, local communities, tea farms, banana plantations, and many more which offer you the best of the journey.  You will have lunch en route in Fort Portal Uganda’s most beautiful city and later on proceed to  Kibale Forest Park. Dinner and overnight at Chimpanzee Forest Lodge

Day 3: Chimpanzee trekking &– Bigodi wetland walk

Rise up early, have breakfast, and with a packed lunch transfer to Kanyanhchu Visitor Information Center for registration and briefing on the guidelines of the chimpanzee trekking experience. At 8:00 start the hike uphill in search for the allocated chimpanzee community. The trek through the rain forest offers you a chance to see the primates such as Red-tailed monkeys, Lhoest Monkeys, Blue Monkeys and Vervet monkeys among others plus birds that live there. On meeting the chimpanzees, you will be allowed to spend an hour in their company. Stay calm, keep your distance, and enjoy this lifetime experience.  In the evening go for a nature walk in Bigodi wetland which shelters several birds, primates and other ground animals. Dinner and overnight at Chimpanzee Forest Lodge

Day 4: Transfer to Lake Bunyonyi

Today you can have an optional morning forest walk to enjoy the sweet melodies of birds singing as they wake up.  Have a relaxed breakfast, check out, and embark on a drive headed to Lake Bunyonyi. Have lunch en route as you drive through local communities and trading centers and opportunity to meet and interact with local people. Arrive in the afternoon, check-in and refresh. Dinner and overnight at Lake Bunyonyi Rock Resort

Day 5: Mountain Gorilla Trekking

The memorable day for trekking the endangered mountain gorillas is finally here! Rise up very early have a heavy breakfast and get ready for a transfer to Ruhija in Eastern Bwindi for gorilla trekking.  With a packed lunch, drive straight to the park headquarters where you will be registered and briefed on the dos and don’ts of mountain gorilla trekking. The actual trek to see these endangered primates starts at 8:00 am and can last for between 30 minutes to over 7 hours. The actual time to spend in the jungle is unpredictable. It depends on the location of the allocated gorilla family and the hiking speed of the slowest person in your group. After meeting the gorillas, the allowed time to spend with them is strictly an hour. Observe the trekking rules as briefed by rangers and enjoy this once-in-a-lifetime experience.  Later on, transfer to Kisoro for dinner and overnight at Travelers Rest Hotel

Day 6: Golden Monkey Trekking

Wake up early, have a well-spiced cup of coffee, and with your packed lunch transfer to Ntebeko Visitor Information Center in Mgahinga Gorilla National Park. There you be registered and briefed on the dos, don’ts, and general expectations of golden monkey trekking. The trek begins at 8:00 am lasting from between 30 minutes to over 5 hours. You are however sure of meeting the lively primates. Enjoy an encounter with these playful creatures in their natural habits learn about their social life and enjoy this magical encounter.  After on, drive to Bunyonyi for dinner and overnight at Lake Bunyonyi Rock Resort

Day 7: Transfer to Entebbe

Enjoy a sunrise breakfast on the shores of Lake Bunyonyi, check out, and embark on a drive to Kampala. Relax and spend an overnight at Victoria Rock Resort Entebbe

 

Day 8:  Fly to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport –Overnight in Nairobi

Have an early morning breakfast and transfer to Entebbe International Airport for your connecting flight to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport in Nairobi Kenya. Dinner and overnight at Carnivore Restaurant

Day 9: Transfer to Masai Mara National park

Following morning breakfast, transfer to Masai Mara National park in south western kenya, one of the top and popular travel destinations in Kenya. You will have a stop at the Great Rift Valley View Point for scenic views of the world’s largest rift valley. Proceed to the park arriving in the afternoon. Check in, refresh and later go for an evening game drive to catchup with wild animals feeding before retiring for the night. Dinner and overnight at Mara Simba Lodge

Day 10: Full Day in Masai Mara National Park

Spend this whole day exploring the beauty of Masai Mara National Park. The savannah park is famous for the Annual wildebeest migration in southwestern Kenya on the borders with Tanzania. Guided game drives in the grassy plains of Masaia Mara offer you great views of wild animals such as Cheetahs, Wildebeests, Giraffes, Topis, Lions, Elephants, Zebras, Hippos, Leopards, Hyenas, and rhinos among others. Other interesting activities done in Masai Mara National park include cultural tours to the Masai pastoralists, Bird watching, nature walks, hot air balloon safaris, and scenic viewing among others. Dinner and overnight at Mara Simba Lodge

Day 11: Another full day in Masai Mara

Spend this second day also exploring what Masai Mara National Park offers. A bush breakfast and picnic lunch offers you a more intimate and enjoyable wildlife encounter.  Take part in different optional activities different from the ones you did on the previous day. Game viewing to a different part of the park is a not miss. The other optional activities include nature walking, hot airballon, bird watching and community tour as you wish. Dinner and overnight at Mara Simba Lodge

Day 12: Transfer to Amboseli National Park

Have an early morning breakfast and embark on the road for a drive to Amboseli National Park located in southern Keya famous for sheltering large herds of elephants and spectacular views of Mount Kilimanjaro.  You can have an optional evening game drive if you like. Dinner and overnight at Amboseli Sopa lodge

Day 13: Full Day in Amboseli

Today is for exploring Amboseli National Park and taking part in different optional activities in the park. Full-day game drive in the park offers you scenic views of wild animals such as Elephants, Lions, Leopards, Giraffes Wildebeests, Topis, Gazelles, Rhinos and Zebras among others. The park is also best for nature walking, bird watching, community visits and  photography. Dinner and overnight at Amboseli Sopa lodge

Day 14: Transfer to Nairobi for Departure

Have a relaxed breakfast and transfer to Nairobi for your departure flight. En route visit some gift shops and shopping malls in case you want to buy some take home things
