Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival & transfer to the hotel

You will be picked up by our experienced guide on arrival at the airport, be briefed about the trip, and proceed to the Hotel/lodge in Entebbe. Dinner and overnight at Victoria Royal Beach Hotel

Day 2:  Visit Mabamba Wetland

After an early breakfast, go for a bird-watching experience at the Mabamba Wetland Sanctuary. The place is home to the rare shoebill stork and other bird species. Enjoy a boat ride in the swamp searching for the shoebill stork.  From there, drive back to the hotel for refreshment. Spend the rest of the day chilling on the shores of Lake Victoria. Dinner and overnight at Victoria Royal Beach  Hotel

Day 3:  Transfer to Kibale National Park

Have a relaxed breakfast, check out, and embark on the drive headed to Kibale Forest National Park. The drive is roughly 5 to 6 hours taking you through beautiful landscapes, teal plantations, towns, and homesteads.  Arrive at the lodge in the afternoon, refresh, and relax as you wait for dinner and overnight at Crater Safari Lodge

Day 4: Chimpanzee trekking & Bigodi wetland walk

After an early morning cup of coffee, carry your packed lunch and transfer to the Kanyanchu Visitor Information Centre for briefing and registration, The chimpanzee trekking experience begins at 8:00m and can be as short as 30 minutes or last for over 5 hours depending on your speed of hiking and the location of chimpanzees. The park also shelters other primates such as Black and white colobus monkeys. blue monkeys, red-tailed monkeys, baboons, and grey-cheeked mangabeys among others. In the afternoon, for a nature walk in Bigodi wetland which shelters several birds, primates, and other ground animals. Dinner and overnight at Crater Safari

Day 5: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park, Boat cruise

Following an early morning breakfast, get your bags and transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park. Arrive in the afternoon, refresh, and join the boat cruise at Kazinga channel for spectacular views and a cold breeze. Dinner and overnight at Mweya Safari Lodge

Day 6:  Morning Game drive & transfer to Lake Bunyonyi

Go for early morning game drives to catch up with early risers grazing and hunting before retiring for the day. Expect to see animals like Elephants, Lions, Buffalos, Uganda Kobs Waterbucks, Warthogs, and Leorpads among others.  Thereafter, drive out of the Park headed to Lake Bunyonyi for dinner and overnight at Lake Bunyonyi Rock Resort

Day 7: Mountain Gorilla Trekking

Following a heavy breakfast, get your packed lunch and drive to the respective park headquarters in Bwindi Forest where registration and pre-gorilla trekking briefing takes place. You will be allocated one of the 21 gorilla families in Bwindi Forest for trekking.  At 8:00 am, start the hike uphill in search of the endangered mountain gorillas. The strenuous hike can last for between 2 to 7 hours but you are 90% sure of meeting the gorillas at the end of the trek. After meeting them, you will be allowed to spend an hour in their presence. Take pictures, capture live videos, and enjoy this lifetime experience. Later in the evening transfer to Bunyonyi for dinner and overnight at Lake Bunyonyi Rock Resort

Day 8: Transfer to Musanze

Have a relaxed morning breakfast on the shores of Lake Bunyonyi as you enjoy nature’s beauty. You will then check out and start the drive crossing to Rwanda and heading straight to Musanze district in northwestern Rwanda. The drive offers scenic views of Rwanda’s rolling hills and also, allows you to meet and interact with local people you meet along the way. Dinner and Overnight at Mountain Gorilla View Lodge

Day 9: Golden Monkey Trekking & Iby’iwacu Cultural Village

Wake up early, have breakfast, and with a packed lunch drive to Kinigi Park headquarters for registration and briefing on the dos and don’ts of the golden monkey trekking experience. At 8:00 am, start the hike up in the bamboo forest searching for the amazing creatures. Golden monkeys are playful and lively primates whose company you will never forget. You are advised to hold your camera tight, keep a distance, and enjoy seeing how these amazing creatures socialize and live their lives. Return to the lodge for refreshments. In the evening, go for a tour of the Iby’iwacu cultural village for a cultural performance. There you will learn the customs beliefs, norms and traditions of local people. Traditional dances and songs will also be performed to entertain and welcome you. You can take part in some cultural practices such as dressing as a queen /King, preparing local foods peeling matooke, grinding sorghum, and brewing local beer among others. Day 10: Transfer to Gisenyi – Sunset cruise and visit the hot springs

Have a well-spiced morning breakfast as you enjoy your last moments in Musanze. From there, check out and drive to Gisenyi the home of Lake Kivu. Check in at your hotel, refresh and go for a sunset boat cruise on the calm waters of Lake Kivu. The cruise offers you great views of the beautiful terraces hills, local communities, and fishing villages.  Explore different islands of Lake Kivu during the sunset cruise. Also, visit the Gisenyi hot springs located in the eastern part of Lake Kivu. The hot springs are believed to have healing waters that cure different skin diseases and muscle pains.  Dinner and overnight at Lake Kivu Serna Hotel

Day 11: Transfer to Kigali, City tour, and fly to Tanzania

Have breakfast and embark on a drive to Kigali, the capital city of Rwanda. Enjoy a tour of this beautiful city rated as Africa’s cleanest and most organized city. Some of the top places to visit in Kigali include the Kigali Genocide Memorial Centre where the remains of the 1994 genocide victims were buried, the Kigali Convention Center, the Inema Art Gallery, the Presidential Palace, and the Kimironko Market among others. Have lunch in the city center and drive to Kigali International Airport for your connecting flight to Kilimanjaro Airport in Tanzania. Dinner and overnight at Fun Retreat Resort Arusha

Day 12: Arusha to Tarangire National Park

Have a relaxed breakfast, check out, and transfer to Tarangire National Park, the 6th largest Park in Tanzania in the Manyara region.  Check in to your hotel and refresh. Embark on a full-day game drive in the open savannahs of the park to see animals such as Wildebeest, Zebras, Giraffes, Leopards, Antelopes, Buffalos, Reedbucks, Waterbucks, Warthogs and Gazelles among others.  In addition to game drives, you can do any optional activities in this park such as Nature walks, bird watching, and cultural visits. You will the d rive out of the park for dinner and overnight at Escarpment Luxury Lodge

Day 13- 17:  Explore Serengeti National Park

Drive to Serengeti National Park where you will spend the next four nights! Launch an afternoon game drive to the Lobo area to search for your favorite wildlife including lions, leopards, zebras, elephants, giraffes, and buffalos. Wildebeest migration is normally between October and December meaning depending on the time of your visit, you may witness this amazing wildlife activity. Our experienced guides ensure to follow the best trails to have a closer view of your favorite animals.

You will spend these five days and four nights exploring the gem in Serengeti National Park. Full day game drives with bush breakfast and picnic lunch is the best way to explore wildlife in this Park.  On other days, take part in other interesting activities in Serengeti National Park such as Hot air ballon, Nature walks, cultural tours, Bird watching, visiting the Serengeti Visitor Centre, Visit the Olduvia Gorge and wildebeest migration among others.  Day 18: Drive to Ngorongoro National Park  -Full-day Game drive

Early today, drive to Ngorongoro Crater for a full-day game-viewing experience in the open side of this conservation area. Predators like the lions, jackals, hyenas, leopards, and cheetahs dominate this area, and other antelopes, buffalos, zebras, rhinos, hippos, wildebeests, waterbucks, gazelles, and many bird species are also seen here. You will have a bush lunch and embark on a full-day excursion into this natural habitat for a variety of wildlife. Dinner and overnight at Escarpment Luxury Lodge

Day19: Transfer to Arusha, shopping- Departure

Enjoy your last day in Lake Manyara National Park and thereafter transfer to Arusha. Visit different shopping centers in Arusha and explore the city Centre.  You will then connect to the airport for your departure flight
