DETAILED ITINERARY
Day 1: Pick up & transfer to Lake Bunyonyi Rock Resort
Early today, the driver guide representing our company will pick you up from either Entebbe International airport or your hotel in Kampala/Entebbe. Meet, greet and have a brief take through the itinerary introducing you on what to do and want to expect. Thereafter, start off the drive headed to Lake Bunyonyi in Kabale. You shall have several stopovers along the way to buy fresh fruits, snacks, roasted meat, roasted maize and to refresh. The driving time from Kampala to lake Bunyonyi is roughly 7-9 hours via Ankole plains, Kigezi rolling bills, plantations, local communities and towns. Dinner and overnight stay at Lake Bunyonyi Rock Resort
Day 2: Mountain gorilla trekking
Wakeup very early, have well spiced heavy breakfast and with packed lunch transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park for gorilla trekking. Assemble at any one of the four gorilla regions in Bwindi Forest for registration, briefing and gorilla family allocations. At 8:00am, begin the trek up and downhill searching for the endangered primates. The trek can last for between 30 minutes to over 6 hours depending on your physical fitness and the location of gorillas. You are however assured of meeting the gentle giants at the end of the trek. You may also meet other wild animals such as Forest Elephants, African buffalos and colobus monkeys during your gorilla trek. The allowed time with the gorillas is strictly an hour counted from the time you meet the gorillas. Stay calm, keep a distance and embrace the humanlike characters of gorillas in their family. You will then transfer to Lake Bunyonyi Rock Resort for dinner and overnight
Day 3: Departure
After breakfast, check out and embark on a drive back to Kampala for your departure flight at Entebbe International airport
