5 Days Gorilla And Chimpanzee Tracking In Rwanda

Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Transfer To Nyungwe
Pick up from Kigali International Airport In the morning and transfer southwards to Nyungwe national park with en route visit to the national museum in Butare, the Murambi genocide memorial site, the Nyanza king’s palace. Dinner and overnight at stay Nyungwe Forest Lodge (Luxury).

Day 2: Chimpanzee Tracking
After breakfast transfer to the park headquarters and attend to a briefing from the park warden on do’s and don’ts while tracking chimps. Then transfer to the starting point of the chimpanzee hiking trail. Expect to meet Chimpanzees, black and white colobus monkeys, vervet monkeys, baboons along the trail. Return to the lodge for relaxation in the health club.

Day 3: Transfer To Volcanoes National Park
In the morning, you will enjoy a scenic long drive to Volcanoes national park in Ruhengeri. Dinner and overnight at Muhabura hotel (Budget)/La Palme hotel (Deluxe)/Mountain gorilla view lodge (Luxury) as you prepare for the following day’s memorable adventure.

Day 4: Gorilla Trekking Expedition
After briefing from the senior park ranger commence your memorable gorilla trekking adventure which normally takes 2 to 8 hours in the jungle. You will be allowed to stay in the presence of the gorillas for at least an hour. After the gorilla trek your safari guide will transfer you back to the lodge for relaxation and any other next activity.

Day 5: Transfer Back To Kigali
After breakfast transfer back to Kigali. You may wish to enjoy a city tour including a visit to Gisozi genocide memorial site. The will be ready to transfer you to the airport for your departure flight to the next destination.
