Detailed Itinerary 

Day 1: Pick up & transfer to the Hotel – Relax

Early today, arrive at Enebbe International Airport, where you will find the driver guide of Engagi Safaris waiting for you. You will then transfer to Victoria Rock Resort, where you will spend the rest of the day. Spend the whole day relaxing at the resort ($60)

 

Day 2: 21st April 2025: Transfer to Kibale Forest National Park, Bigodi Swamp Walk

Have an early morning breakfast, check out, and start the drive to Kibale Forest National Park, home to the endangered chimpanzees. The drive time from Entebbe to Kibale Forest is roughly 6-7 hours with route stopovers. Arrive in the afternoon, check in at the lodge, and refresh. In the evening, go for a swampy walk in Bigodi. The walk offers you a chance to meet and interact with various bird species, primates, and reptiles that reside there. Dinner and overnight at Kibale Forest Lodge

 

Day 3: Chimpanzee trekking & transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park

Very early today, enjoy a heavy breakfast and transfer to the Kanyanchu Visitor Information Center for registration and pre-trekking briefing. The trek to see the endangered chimpanzees starts at 8:00 am and lasts for between 2 to 6 hours. Pay attention to the loud shouts and laughs of the chimpanzees heard from a distance. These guide you on the direction to take. During the chimpanzee trek, you will also meet other primates such as baboons, grey-cheeked mangabeys, Blue Monkeys, Vervet monkeys, and Black and white colobus monkeys. You will spend an hour with the chimpanzees, learning and embracing their human-like characteristics. Return to the lodge for refreshment and then transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park. Dinner and overnight stay at Eshama Game Lodge

 

Day 4: Game Viewing & transfer to Lake Bunyonyi Rock Resort

Rise very early and go to Kasenyi Plains for guided game drives. Expect to see numerous wild animals, which include Elephants, Buffalos, Lions, Warthogs, Leopards, Uganda Kobs, Hyenas, Waterbucks, and Hippos, among others. The drive in the park also offers you scenic views of the park and surrounding villages. Return to the lodge for late breakfast and thereafter drive out of Queen Elizabeth headed to Lake Bunyonyi. The drive through the Ishasha sector is a chance to see the famous tree-climbing lions resting lazily and enjoying their prey up in the acacia and fig trees. The transfer to Bwindi takes you via local communities and farmlands which allow you to interact with local people. Dinner and overnight at Lake Bunyonyi Rock Resort

 

Day 5: Mountain gorilla trekking & transfer to Kisoro

Today is for trekking the endangered mountain gorillas in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park. Have an early morning breakfast with a packed lunch and drive to Bwindi Park headquarters in Rushaga for briefing and registration on the dos and don’ts of the gorilla trekking experience. The trek to see gorillas starts at 8:00 am and trekking time can be between 2 to 7 hours depending on the location of the gorillas and the hiking speed of the slowest traveler in your group. You will be amazed by the human-like characteristics of the gorillas. Enjoy seeing the adult female gorillas take care of the infants while the Silverback Gorillas closely watch over all his family members. Later on, transfer to Kisoro for dinner and overnight at Travellers Hotel

 

Day 6: Golden Monkey Trekking & Transfer to Lake Bunyonyi

After breakfast, get your packed lunch and transfer to Mgahinga Gorilla National Park, where “Silver meets Gold”. Start by registering with the park wardens at the Ntebeko visitor information center. You will also be briefed on the dos, don’ts, and expectations of the golden monkey trekking experience. At 8:00 am, start the hike into the search for the playful and lively golden monkeys. The trek can last for between 1 and 4 hours. The allowed time is strictly an hour. The park is also home to the endangered mountain gorillas habituated in the Nyakagyezi Family. Later in the day, drive to Lake Bunyonyi for dinner and overnight at Lake Bunyonyi Rock Resort

 

Day 7: Transfer to Entebbe Airport for departure

This is the last day of our exclusive 7 days Uganda primates and wildlife safari. Enjoy a relaxed sunrise breakfast on the shores of Lake Bunyonyi, the second-deepest lake in Africa.
