American powerhouse Rapper and twenty-one Grammy Awards holder, Kanye Omari West, also known as Ye, and his wife Kim Kardashian together with their oldest daughter were in Murchison Falls National park in October 2018.

Celebrated American Hollywood celebrity Koshie Mills also visited Murchison falls and Kidepo National park December 2019 she made the remarks after an eight-day visit “I’m so proud of Uganda I’m already screaming to everyone about Uganda. And my son text me, after seeing my pictures that Uganda is very majestic,” Mills said. ”I was so thrilled by the beauty of this country. I just wonder why Hollywood has not come here to shoot films instead of faking these Savannah safaris in the studio. This is the kind of issue I will recommend to Hollywood” Koshie added.
United States President Theodore Roosevelt visited Murchison Falls in 1909 however on bad note. The President was on the most over extravagant hunting safari ever where he took animals that by today rate to about US$2m these included Mammals,birds,reptiles and specimen of Rhinos ,shoebills among others.
Winston Churchill visited Murchison Falls in 1907, after which Uganda was popularised as the Pearl of Africa in his book that he published in 1908 called My African Journey he said “For magnificence, for variety of form and color, for profusion of brilliant life — bird, insect, reptile, beast — for vast scale — Uganda is truly “the Pearl of Africa.”
Famous American Journalist Ernest Hemingway and his wife visited Murchison falls in 1954 however his visit was not success full after his plane crashed in the park. Hemingway and his wife survived and were taken to Butiaba Hospital for treatment
John Huston’s famous movie The African Queen the movie that saw Humphrey Bogart and Katharine Hepburn as principle performers was filmed in Murchison Falls National Park in 1951.
Sir Samuel Baker the great explorer in 1864 .Samuel Baker named Murchison Falls after Sir Roderick Murchison who was the president of Britain Royal Geographical Society by that time.
British Royals visited Murchison Falls in 1959. The queen Mother took a boat cruise on the Nile to the base of Murchison falls. This was her second time to be in Uganda the first time was in 1925 when she was with her husband Late George VI for a hunting safari She was also visited Kazinga National Park in 1952 after which park changed its name to queen Elizabeth National park in 1954 to commemorate the Queens Visit.
