All travelers arriving in Rwanda at all points of Entry are screened, results of the screening determine the next stages.
All Travelers coming from countries with confirmed cases of COVID -19 are considered suspect cases, therefore taken to isolation at the nearest hospital for investigations and laboratory tests
When the suspected cases test negative he/she is advised to undergo 14 days self Isolation quarantine, provide full identification and details of the residential location and the location should be accessible for daily monitoring by a team of Rwanda Ministry of Health and Biomedical Centre.
Suspected individuals under self-quarantine are also advised to wear masks and prevent any contact with other people to prevent the spread of the Virus.
As of March 10, 2020, Rwanda has not registered any infection case of Corona Virus but in case the suspected case tests positive they will be transferred to the COVID-19 treatment center.
On March 9, 2020, The Rwanda Development Board (RDB) released a public and tourism notice assuring all travelers and stakeholders that Rwanda has not registered any Coronavirus case and the tourism activities continue to operate normally in all the country’s attraction destinations
