Mountain Gorillas(Gorilla beringei beringei) are one of the primate species located in Virunga Conservation area. Other primates include Golden Monkeys, L’Hoest Monkey, Colobus, Baboons and many more. Of all the primates in these mountains, the gorillas stand out to be the largest and most gentle.
The gorillas live in groups of families with silver backs and female and According to Wikipedia, The mountain gorilla is highly social, and lives in relatively stable, cohesive groups held together by long-term bonds between adult males and females.
These groups are non-territorial; the Silverback generally defends his group rather than his territory, and have a life span of 40-50 years.

Our representative/guide will pick you up from your hotel at 4:30AM early in the morning and head to the Volcanoes National Park headquarters’ for briefing about the dos and dot’s during the tracking adventure. After the briefing you will head into the jungle to meet the gorillas. On return, you will be transferred back to Kigali and dropped off at the airport for your flight/hotel.
