Be part of this 3 days Bwidi gorilla trekking tour for an unforgettable encounter with the
endangered mountain gorillas in their natural habitat. Home to over 450 gorillas, Bwindi
Impenetrable National Park is one of Africa’s most biologically diverse rainforests and home
to nearly half of the world’s remaining mountain gorillas. You will trek habituated gorilla
trek which live in Bwindi Forest. In addition to the gorillas, the 3 Days tour features boat
cruise and community tours in Lake Bunyonyi.

Tour Plan
Upon arrival at Entebbe International Airport, you will be welcomed by the driver guide
from Engagi Safaris Limited. After meet and greet, begin the drive heading southwest
towards Lake Bunyonyi. The drive takes you through various landscapes of rolling hills,
cultivated farmlands, and traditional Ugandan villages. Stop at the Uganda Equator for
photography and a short break before continuing through Mbarara for lunch. You will then
proceed to Lake Bunyonyi. Dinner and overnight at Lake Bunyonyi Rock Resort
After an early breakfast, transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park for gorilla
trekking adventure. You will first be registered, briefed and allocated one gorilla family to
trek. At 8:00am, begin the trek lasting for between 3 minutes to over 6 hours depending on
the movement of the gorillas. The walk involves navigating forest trails, steep slopes, and
thick vegetation, but the reward is extraordinary
After meeting the gorilla family, you are allowed an hour to observe them at close range.
Witness powerful silverbacks, playful juveniles, and nurturing mothers in a quiet, intimate
setting.
Later, transfer to Lake Bunyony and embark on a cruise to explore different islands of the
Lake. The lake comprises of 29 islands each of which has a different story. The most visited
islands include the punishment island where the Bakiga unmarried pregnant women would
be taken and left to die. Other islands include Bucuruniko island, Bushara and Akampene
island among others. Dinner and overnight at Lake Bunyonyi Rock Resort
In the morning, go for a local community tour to learn and experience the traditions, norms,
customs and beliefs. After breakfast, begin your return journey to Kampala or Entebbe.
