Embark on this customized 3 Days Uganda chimpanzees, Lake Bunyonyi and Gorilla safari in
Bwindi Forest with Engagi safari. The 3 days safari is an opportunity to meet up with the
endangered chimpanzees and gorillas in their natural habitats. You will enjoy a boat cruise
on Lake Bunyonyi, exploring different islands of the Lake.
Tour Plan
Early today you will be picked from either your hotel in Kampala/Entebbe or from the
airport and transfer to Kibale Forest National Park. The 6 hours drive to Kibale reward you
with scenic views of the beautiful countryside, local communities and farms. Arrive in the
afternoon, check-in and refresh. In the afternoon, go for a guided nature walk in Bigodi
wetland for birding and primate watching
After breakfast, get your packed lunch and transfer to Kanyanchu Visitor information for
registration and briefing on the dos and don’ts of chimpanzee trekking. At 8:00am start the
hike into the forests searching for these endangered primates. Trekking time ranges from
between 30 minutes to over 6 hours depending on where chimpanzees will be located. The
allowed time with chimps is strictly an hour counted from the time you see them. In the
afternoon, transfer to Lake Bunyonyi in southwestern Uganda. Join a sunset boat cruise
touring different islands of the Lake
Following an early morning breakfast, with your packed lunch transfer to Bwindi Forest for
mountain gorilla trekking. Assemble at the respective park headquarters for briefing, gorilla
family allocation and briefing. At 8:00am start the hike into the dense forest to meet the
gorillas. The actual trekking time is not certain but the allowed time with gorillas is an hour.
Later on, embark on a drive back to Kampala or Kigali for your departure flight
