You will have your morning breakfast and visit Kotu Beach for some relaxation and beach activities like swimming and surfing. Have lunch and in the afternoon explore Bijilo Forest Park, known for its nature trails and monkey sightings. Take a stroll around Albert Market for some shopping and local cultural experiences. Dinner and overnight at the lodge.
Morning: Head to Katchikally Crocodile Pool to see sacred crocodiles and learn about the local beliefs surrounding them. Visit River Gambia National Park for a river cruise and wildlife spotting. Look out for Hippos, Monkeys, elephants, crocodiles, antelopes, manatees, warthogs, bushbabies, monitor lizards and birds among others. Dinner and spend night at the lodge.
You will have a breakfast meal at the lodge and immediately begin to explore Fort James Island, a UNESCO World Heritage Site with a rich history. There will be a lunchbreak in the afternoon and discover The Gambia Reptile Farm, where you can see various reptiles up close. Return to your accommodation in the evening or explore local dining options with your guide.
After breakfast at the lodge this morning, embark on a cultural adventure at Makasutu Culture Forest, experiencing traditional music, dance, and crafts. You will have lunch and depending on your interests, you can revisit any of the previous attractions or explore other nearby sites. Wrap up your trip that evening with a farewell dinner and reflect on your experiences in The Gambia as you drive to the airport for your flight.
