This park straddles southwest of Uganda just at the extreme side of the Albertine rift valley. With about 1004 mountain gorillas that still thrive on earth, over 400 individuals call this park their home with approximately 16 groups that are readily available for you to track. The 331 square kilometre protected area isn’t only ideal for you to see these Great Apes in the wild but also offers you a golden opportunity to explore other incredible creatures that are inhabited in this park including over 163 tree species, 1000 flowering plants, 51 reptiles, 27 frogs, 140 fern species, 350 avifaunal species, 200 butterfly species a mention but a few. DETAILED ITINERARY

Day 1: Depart for Queen Elizabeth National Park

Have breakfast early in the morning and get a warm welcome and pick up by our driver guide ready to head off to western Uganda to Queen Elizabeth National Park about 5-6 hours’ drive via KampalaMasaka-Mbarara road. En-route, make a stopover at Equator point at Kayabwe for photography and relaxation. Also make a stopover at Igongo cultural center for lunch then proceed to Queen Elizabeth National Park. Arrive early enough to check in at a lodge of your choice for relaxation, dinner and overnight

Day 2: Game drive and boat cruise in Queen Elizabeth National Park

Wake up early in the morning and have a tasty breakfast. After, embark on morning game drive along Kasenyi sector to catch up with early morning risers.Uganda safaris

Expect to see wildlife species like buffaloes, leopards, lions, elephants, antelopes, birds and many others. Return afterwards to the lodge to have lunch and after, proceed for an afternoon launch/boat cruise via Kazinga channel which rewards you with amazing encounters over huge concentration of crocodiles, hippos, birds and many savanna wildlife species that come grazing around this water area. Have a rest, dinner and overnight

Day 3: Chimpanzee trekking after transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest

National Park Enjoy breakfast in the morning and leave for Kyambura gorge to track the chimpanzees. Expect to encounter other primates as vervet monkeys, baboons, colobus monkeys among others. In the afternoon, go for forest nature walk in maramagambo forest, one of Uganda’s largest tracts of tropical forest. Spectacular spots to visit in this forest include python cave and the only blue-lake in the whole world presently called Lake Kimiranjojo after the forest walk transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable national park

Day 4: Gorilla trekking in Bwindi National Park

Get up early in the morning to have breakfast and after, gather at the park headquarters for morning briefing on dos and don’ts to be observed while tracking gorillasEngagi Safaris in the jungles of Bwindi National Park. Later, hit the jungles to look out for these creatures which may last you about 2-8 hours or more depending on your hiking speed, nature of habitat and location of gorillas. You have only 1 hour with these unique creatures face to face, explore more about their behaviors and take photos. After, return to the lodge for rest and in the evening, you can embark on a community walk in Batwa community where you will have a chance to learn more on the Batwa pygmies cultures and customs. Dinner and overnight

Day 5: Return to Kampala

After breakfast early in the morning, check out from the lodge ready to embark on 8-10 hours’ drive back to Kampala. This marks the end of your 5 days Uganda gorilla and wildlife safari.
