Budongo Forest is habitat to 24 mammals of which 9 are primates 360 bird species, about 290 butterflies, 465 trees and 130 moths it is also known for old mahogany trees that can grow up to 80metres. On the last day of this 4 Days Murchison Falls Safari, you will visit Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary a private non-profit ranch located in Nakasongola District governed by Uganda Rhino Fund , it is 72 sq. km in size. Ziwa Rhino sanctuary is the only place in Uganda where you can see rhinos in the wild. The Sanctuary is a home to 40 mammals, reptiles species and many birds that include the Shoebill.
Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park offers you a great opportunity to explore the hidden treasures of this impenetrable while tracking the rare mountain gorillas. This park straddles southwest of Uganda just at the extreme side of the Albertine rift valley. With about 1004 mountain gorillas that still thrive on earth, over 400 individuals call this park their home with approximately 16 groups that are readily available for you to track. The 331 square kilometre protected area isn’t only ideal for you to see these Great Apes in the wild but also offers you a golden opportunity to explore other incredible creatures that are inhabited in this park including over 163 tree species, 1000 flowering plants, 51 reptiles, 27 frogs, 140 fern species, 350 avifaunal species, 200 butterfly species a mention but a few. Besides having lifetime experiences with these dramatic creatures, you can also have a chance to engage in a number of exciting safari activities especially birding, cultural encounters, nature walks and many more. Our driver guide will pick you from your hotel and set off for Murchison falls national park. The park is home to the highest concentration of animals which include 4 of the big five game and birds. A game drive in the park offers you close encounter with numerous animals which include giraffes, buffalos, lions, leopards, elephants, Uganda kobs, elands, among others. Enjoy a hike to the top of Murchison falls as well as a launch cruise to the bottom of the falls for spectacular views. Stop at ZZiwa rhino sanctuary in Nakasongola for rhino tracking. You will after embark on the drive to

Wake up early and go for an early morning game drive in the open plains of the park. Look for animals grazing and hunting in the open Savannahs before retiring for day rest. Among the animal you will see include elephants, buffalos, giraffes, hippos, lions, leopards, waterbucks, Uganda kobs, elands, Jackson’s hartebeest and warthogs among others. After Lunch embark on a launch cruise to the bottom of the mighty Murchison falls; enjoy scenic views of the falls, and aquatic animals like Crocodiles, Hippos among others and many bird species at the banks of the river after Drive to have an overnight at Budongo Forest lodge
The Forest has 6 groups of Chimpanzees the tracking starts at 7:am as you are led by the ranger guides to look for these amazing primates that share a DNA of about 98% with human beings during the tracking you will also be able to see various tree species like mahogany ,monkeys, snakes and many bird species after transfer to have a night in Kampala.
Morning drive to Lake Bunyonyi Close to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park, Southwest of Uganda. You will spend about 7-9 hours while driving via stunning countryside along KampalaMasaka route on a tarmac for about 77 kilometers where you will make a stopover at Equator crossing in Kayabwe. While at this point, you will have opportunity to take many photos and also refresh yourself or pay a visit to one of the craft shops to purchase some locally made craft products for your own memories. Besides, you will also enjoy the spectacular landscape along the way and then make another stopover for lunch at Agip Motel or Igongo Cultural Centre where you will have a chance to taste the traditional dishes or explore the rich Ankole culture prior proceeding for your dream adventure in Bwindi National Park. Breakfast early in the morning at safari lodge of your choice and after, join the rest of the visitors at your respective sector for morning briefing by one of the park officials. During briefing, the park official will take you through the dos and don’ts to be observed while in the jungles tracking gorillas. Some of the dos and don’ts that will be briefed to you include no smoking, no eating in the forest, maintaining a distance of 7 meters at all times away from gorillas, no trekking gorillas while you are sick, Bwindi gorilla tours no flashlight cameras are allowed and if yours has flashlight, you are advised to turn it off while taking photos, only persons above 15 years are allowed to go for gorilla trekking. After, you will be grouped into 8 visitors and assigned only one habituated family plus a
park guide who will take you through the entire trekking process. Upon getting your gorilla family, you will have only an hour of face to face encounter with the Great Apes, explore more about their general behaviour, take as many photos as possible. The trek usually lasts for about 1-8 hours depending on a number of factors especially location of gorilla family, nature of the habitat and your physical wellness after you will drive back to Lake Bunyonyi for relaxing in the evening or community visit depending on the time and if not tired Over night at Lake Bunyonyi Rock Resort
You will have breakfast in the morning at the lodge and after, check out ready to embark on a return journey to the airport Kampala or Entebbe Airport for your scheduled flight and this will mark the end of your 3 days Bwindi gorilla tour. If flying out of Kigali you will visit genocide memorial before transferring to the airport depending on the departure time
