Budongo Forest is habitat to 24 mammals of which 9 are primates 360 bird species, about 290 butterflies, 465 trees and 130 months it is also known for old mahogany trees that can grow up to 80metres. On the last day of this 6 Days Murchison Falls Safari, you will visit Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary a private non-profit ranch located in Nakasongola District governed by Uganda Rhino Fund, it is 72 sq. km in size. Ziwa Rhino sanctuary is the only place in Uganda where you can see rhinos in the wild. The Sanctuary is home to 40 mammals, reptiles species and many birds that include the Shoebill.

Lake Mburo National Park is the smallest savannah park in Uganda and the only park in Uganda where you can see Impalas, Elands and Klipspringer. Lake Mburo National Park has 350 bird species that include the Shoebill stock, 68 mammals that include Giraffes, Zebras, Buffalos, Lion, Leopards, Hyenas, Antelopes Hippos, warthogs among others.

Tour Plan
Our driver-guide will pick you from your hotel and set off for Murchison falls national park. The park is home to the highest concentration of animals which include 4 of the big five game and birds. A game drive in the park offers you a close encounter with numerous animals which include giraffes, buffalos, lions, leopards, elephants, Uganda kobs, elands, among others. Enjoy a hike to the top of Murchison falls as well as a launch cruise to the bottom of the falls for spectacular views. Stop at Ziwa rhino sanctuary in Nakasongola for rhino tracking. After you will embark on the drive to Murchison falls national park reaching in the evening. Drive to the top of the falls for spectacular views of the mighty falls and its thundering roaring. Dinner and overnight
Wake up early and go for an early morning game drive in the open plains of the park. Look for animals grazing and hunting in the open Savannahs before retiring for day rest. Among the animal, you will see include elephants, buffalos, giraffes, hippos, lions, leopards, waterbucks, Uganda kobs, elands, Jackson’s hartebeest, and warthogs among others. After Lunch embark on a launch cruise to the bottom of the mighty Murchison falls; enjoy scenic views of the falls, and aquatic animals like Crocodiles, Hippos among others and many bird species at the banks of the river after Drive to have an overnight
The Forest has 6 groups of Chimpanzees the tracking starts at 7:am as you are led by the ranger guides to look for these amazing primates that share a DNA of about 98% with human beings during the tracking you will also be able to see various tree species like mahogany, monkeys, snakes and many bird species after transfer to have a night in Kampala.
Pick from the hotel or airport and drive on Masaka road you will stop at the Uganda Equator where you witness the imaginary line that drives the world into two equal halves at this point you will stand in two sides of the world at the same time north and south, take pictures and then proceed with the journey of course with stopovers at interesting spots upon entering the park, You will check in the lodge have lunch and go for an afternoon boat cruise on Lake Mburo. This boat cruise will get you to come face to face with the flora and fauna of this destination, along the banks of Lake Mburo, you will a see many animals that come to drink water. You will also see many hippos, crocodiles, antelopes, buffaloes, and over 3 types of otters that are found in the lake and many birds like malachite kingfishers, African Fish eagles, blue-headed weavers, Rufus, long-tailed starling, pied kingfishers, hammerkops, Herons, pelicans, the rare shoebill as well as the cormorants. Return to the lodge with an evening game drive Other unique wildlife like leopards, bush babies and porcupines can also be viewed during this time dinner and Overnight
You will wake up early morning for breakfast and go for a morning game drive Lake Mburo national park is endowed with lots of wildlife and bird expect to see but not limited to Elands, leopards lion antelopes, buffaloes, giraffes, topis, warthogs, zebras, waterbucks, and impalas. And many bird species other features to look during the game drive are the alluring beautiful sceneries, the parent rocks, and savannah. After the game drive transfer back to the hotel, have lunch relax later head for a horse safari, Horse riding safari is an amazing experience where you come very close to animals and nature game viewing without the sounds of the car engine is an extraordinary feeling where animals like zebras end Elands tend to come closer with curious sensation Overnight
Morning natural walk in the park with armed guide with a close view of animals at Rwonyo salt lick you will find animals that are licking salty rocks you will also visit Rubanga forest known spot for bird watching unique birds in Rubanga Forest include grey baked Camaroptera, a double-toothed barbet, coqui francolin bare-faced go-away bird, Nubian woodpeckers, red-headed lover bird among others, forest unique tree species you may also see hyena’s returning to their dens after hunting and hippos returning to water after grazing at night many other animals will be sported including the monkeys after the walk transfer to Igongo cultural center visit the museum and learn about the Ankole culture lunch and later transfer back to Entebbe for the evening flight back home.
