Detailed Itinerary
Day 1- Transfer from the Airport.
Our representative will pick you from Kigali International Airport and take you for a city tour around Kigali where you will visit the genocide museum, local markets among others, after; you will head the Hotel for the night and dinner at either Garr Hotel (Budget) / The Urban boutique Hotel (Deluxe) / Serena Hotel (Luxury).
Day 2- Transfer to Nyungwe Forest
Early in the morning after your breakfast, you will transfer to Nyungwe Forest national park. Overnight at Nyungwe Safari Lodge(Luxury) / Nyungwe Top View Lodge (Deluxe)/ Gisakura Lodge (Budget).
Day 3- Chimpanzee Tracking & Canopy walk
Early in the morning after your breakfast, you will go for chimpanzee trekking in the Nyungwe forest. In the afternoon you may have a canopy walk. Diner and and overnight stay at the previous lodge.
Day 4- Transfer to Volcanoes National Park in Ruhengeri
Early morning, you will set off a spectacular drive to Volcanoes national park with stopovers for photography and lunch. Reach Volcanoes national park in the evening for dinner and overnight at Mountain gorilla view lodge (Luxury)/La palme hotel (Deluxe)/Muhabura hotel (Budget).
Day 5- Gorilla tracking Adventure and Cultural walk.
In the morning, you will go for pre-tracking briefing at the part headquarters before going for the gorilla tracking adventure in the forest. Tracking may take 1-8 hours depending on the group you are allocated and movement of the gentle giants. Stay in the presence of the gorillas for a maximum of one hour before returning back. In the afternoon, you may go for nature walks or cultural walk to the Banyarwanda village. Dinner and overnight stay at your previous Lodge.
Day 6- Golden Monkey tracking OR Dian Fossey Hiking
In the morning you will transfer to the park headquarters to be briefed before going for golden monkey tracking or head to Karisoke research centre for Dian Fossey hiking. You will later transfer go for a cultural walk in the banyarwanda community, Dinner and overnight stay at your previous lodge.
Day 7- Transfer to lake Kivu and Kigali
Early morning, you will have breakfast then head to lake Kivu for a boat ride to the coffee Island to see the hot springs and get to experience spectacular views of the surroundings and hills, and thereafter transfer back to Kigali for your scheduled flight back home or your hotel.
