Upon arrival at Kigali International Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by your driver guide and transferred to your hotel in Kigali.
Depending on your arrival time, you may enjoy a relaxed evening birding experience around the hotel gardens, nearby wetlands, or green spaces surrounding the city where several urban and woodland bird species can already be observed.
Possible sightings include weaver birds, sunbirds, herons, cormorants, kingfishers, and various wetland associated species around the outskirts of Kigali.
The calm environment and organized atmosphere of Rwanda’s capital city provide an excellent introduction to the country’s natural beauty and conservation efforts.
The rest of the evening is reserved for relaxation after your journey and preparation for the birding safari ahead.

After breakfast, depart Kigali and begin the scenic journey southwest toward Nyungwe Forest National Park.
