Experience a memorable Safari with 8 Days Gorilla And Chimpanzee Safari which takes you to the might Volcanoes National Park that is home to the habituated Mountain Gorillas. Gorilla trekking is one of the activities carried out in that park, and even tracking other primates like Golden monkeys. In Nyungwe National Park you will be able to track the chimpanzees and do nature walk to the Kamiranzovu waterfalls and go for a cultural walk in the Banyarwanda community.

Day 1- Transfer to Volcanoes National Park in Ruhengeri.
You will be welcomed by our representative from the airport or your hotel, and head for a city tour visiting the genocide memorial museum, local markets and other places. You will then head through a remarkable scenic view of the virunga mountains to volcanoes national park. Dinner and overnight at either Mountain Gorilla View Lodge (Luxury)/ La Palme Hotel (Deluxe)/Muhabura Hotel (Budget).
Day 2- Gorilla tracking Adventure
In the morning, you will go for pre tracking briefing at the part headquarters before going for the gorilla tracking adventure in the forest. Tracking may take 1-8 hours depending on the group you are allocated and movement of the gentle giants. Stay in the presence of the gorillas for a maximum of one hour before returning back. In the afternoon, you may go for nature walks or cultural walk to the Banyarwanda village. Dinner and overnight stay at your previous Hotel.
Day 3- Golden monkey/Dian Fossey and afternoon cultural walk.
This day, you will either go for golden monkey tracking or go for Dian Fossey hike at Karisoke research centre, where Dian, an American anthropologist spent years researching and concerving the gorillas before she was killed and is buried there next to Digit, a silverback gorilla. Later in the afternoon go for a cultural walk in the Banyarwanda community. Dinner and overnight stay at your previous Hotel.
Day 4- Transfer to Nyungwe forest national park.
Take your breakfast and head to Nyungwe forest national park. You will have en route stopover in Nyanza museum, Butare museum among other areas good for photography and adventure, as well as lunch. Reach Nyungwe in the evening for dinner and overnight at Nyungwe forest Lodge (Luxury)/Nyungwe top view lodge (Deluxe)/Gisakura hotel (Budget).
Day 5- Chimpanzee tracking and afternoon primate walk in the forest.
In the morning, you will set off to the forest for chimpanzee tracking adventure with the park rangers. You will also go for colobus monkey tracking where you will encounter other primates as baboons, vervet monkeys, and others. Day 6- Nature walk and Cultural walk.
Breakfast and proceed to Nyungwe forest for a nature walk to the Kamiranzovu waterfalls. Have lunch and go for a cultural walk in the Banyarwanda community. Dinner and overnight stay Nyungwe forest Lodge (Luxury)/Nyungwe top view lodge (Deluxe)/Gisakura hotel (Budget).
Day 7- Transfer to Lake Kivu
Have breakfast and head to Lake Kivu in western Rwanda. You will take a boat ride to the coffee Island to see the hot springs and get to experience spectacular views of the surroundings and hills. Return to the lodge. Dinner and overnight stay at Paradise Malahide (Budget)/ Stipp Hotel (Deluxe) Lake Kivu Serena Hotel (Luxury).
Day 8- Transfer to Kigali International Airport.
After breakfast you will head to Kigali International Airport for your scheduled flight back home.
