Temperatures throughout the daytime continue in the high 20s Celsius (68 degrees Fahrenheit), and they occasionally reach the middle 30s Celsius (86 degrees Fahrenheit). During the month of February, the last of the summer rainfall occurs, and there is a possibility of a thundershower occurring in the late afternoon. In general, the temperatures in the evening are temperate.

During the summer months, birding safaris are fantastic, and the far northern areas of the park, known as Punda Maria and Pafuri, are particularly remarkable due to the fact that they are home to a large number of migratory species.

Game viewing is best done in the private reserves of the Kruger National Park because the foliage in the park is particularly dense during this time of year. This allows the expert game rangers to track the animals off-road, which is something that is not allowed within the Kruger National Park.

Game viewing is more difficult during the summer months for several reasons: animals have access to an abundance of water and are not drawn to larger water holes; creatures prefer to remain in the shade during the day; and thicker foliage makes it more difficult to identify them.

On the other hand, the vegetation is wonderful for landscape photography, there is a decent chance of seeing birds, and there are many creatures that are born during the summer. Visit Kruger National Park in March and explore South Africa at large.
