New Gorilla Births in Uganda’s Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

There is excellent news in the field of conservation! Bwindi Impenetrable National Park in Uganda, one of the final strongholds of mountain gorillas, has announced that several of its gorilla families have received new members.
The Bwindi Impenetrable National Park is located on the rim of the Rift Valley in southern Uganda, East Africa. It is home to approximately half of the world’s remaining mountain gorilla population.

In recent decades, Uganda has made significant strides in conservation, striving to protect the remaining mountain gorillas in the country. Bwindi Impenetrable National Park has welcomed five new baby gorillas from several gorilla households.
The Nshongi Group welcomed two new members, bringing the total to 14, while the Mucunguzi Group now has 15. With the latest birth, the Bikingi Group now has nine members, while the Rushegura Group has grown to a clan of 17.
