OKWITA IZINA CEREMONY

 On 16 September 2019 was a great day in Rwanda the heart of Africa, up to 25 baby gorillas were named on 15th okwita izina ceremony that was gathered in musanze district I Rwanda, it was a day of celebration as thousands of Rwanda citizens, celebrities, conservationists and dignitaries gathered to celebrate the public naming of new-born gorillas as its always done traditionally. This kwita izina ceremony literally meaning naming ceremony, was launched in 2005 with the aim of raising awareness and sensitization about the conservation of the endangered mountain gorillas and to appreciate the local communities for their efforts towards nature preservation.
