Detailed Itinerary
Day One: Drive to South Luangwa National Park
Meet the tour driver at Lusaka International Airport for pick up and transfer to a light
aircraft. Take a domestic flight to Mfuwe Lodge, located inside the South Luangwa
National Park overviewing a lagoon. South Luangwa NP is one of Zambia’s iconic
wildlife parks, hosting abundant wildlife including large herds of elephants and
buffaloes as well as near-endemic species like Craw shay’s zebras and crocodiles.
Chill on the terrace of the lodge overviewing the thunderous water and whispers of
the wild. In the afternoon, embark on an afternoon game drive marking your firs
activity. Retreat from wildlife encounter and enjoy a campfire in the superb Mfuwe
Lodge.

Day Two: Explore South Luangwa NP
Enjoy a tasty cup of tea/coffee prepared by the best hotel staff and after, embark on
a guided game drive. Navigate via the South Luangwa National Park wilderness
while spotting wildlife as the graze ranging from bush elephants, cape buffaloes,
zebras, giraffes, and birds. Embark on a guided bush walk in the afternoon and later
experience the local cultures and traditions at Kawaza village.

Day Three: Tena Tena (South Luangwa N/P)
Leave Mfuwe Lodge for Tena Tena (South Luangwa National Park). Today, you will
navigate deep inside South Luangwa NP and Tena Tena lies in the Nsefu region of
the park, a luxury safari camp that also provides deep insight into the restricted area
of this protected area.

Day Four: Full-day in South Luangwa N/Park
Have a delicious breakfast and after, you will have another full day exploring South
Luangwa National Park. Embark on a guided game drives and bush walks with
company of an experienced guide. You may pay a visit to Kawaza village for the
second time to explore more about the tribal textiles made by local craftspeople.

Day Five: South Luangwa NP-Lower Zambezi N. Park
Transfer to Lower Zambezi National Park using a domestic flight setting off from
Mfuwe to Jeki through Lusaka. Another transfer to the park will be done and you will
settle in one of the classic bush camps- preferably Potato Bush Camp. Enjoy a
sunset tour and later go search for nocturnal species on a night game drive with a
chance to sight genets, wildcats, honey badgers and porcupines, etc.

Day Six: Lower Zambezi N/Park wildlife excursion
Today’s exploration involves exploring the Zambezi River on canoeing/boat tours,
fishing excursions, and sunset river cruise experiences. The Zambezi River
recreation excursions involve watching hippos, crocodiles and birds.

Day Seven: Lower Zambezi Region excursion
Head off to the Lower Zambezi Region on foot –this is one of the best walking
experiences you will have on this Zambia tour. Enjoy view of wildlife on foot rather
than using a safari vehicle.

Day Eight: Departure
Wake up early for breakfast and check out. Start your trip back Lusaka International
Airport for departure back home.
