This is the best time for game drives as animals congregate around permanent water sources. Between June to August, a secondary dry season, its similar to December to February, but slightly cooler in the evenings. Visibility is excellent for wildlife viewing as vegetation is less dense.

Rainy Seasons (March to May, September to November):
Humidity is higher during these periods, often ranging from 80% to 90%, especially in the mornings and evenings when temperatures are cooler and rainfall is more frequent.

Dry Seasons (June to August, December to February):
Humidity levels are lower during the dry months, typically ranging from 50% to 60%. The air feels drier and less sticky, especially in the afternoons.

The park’s balance of savanna and woodland further ensures manageable humidity levels for visitors.

Impact of climate and weather on wildlife viewing

During rainy seasons, vegetation becomes lush, providing stunning scenery. However, animals can disperse due to abundant water and food availability.

For the case of dry seasons, wildlife is concentrated around permanent water sources, making it easier to spot animals such as zebras, impalas and hippos.
