Explore Uganda Festival in West Nile

The celebrations don’t stop in Arua. From 28th to 29th September 2025, the focus shifts to the Explore Uganda Festival in the West Nile region. This festival is dedicated to showcasing Uganda’s hidden gems, highlighting the beauty of West Nile’s landscapes, culture, and traditions. By promoting lesser-known destinations, this event strengthens local tourism and brings communities into the heart of conservation and adventure.

Why This Matters

The importance of this initiative cannot be overstated. It reflects Uganda’s belief that tourism belongs to everyone. When citizens and residents experience wildlife firsthand, they gain a deeper appreciation for conservation, making them active partners in protecting Uganda’s heritage. It also inspires domestic travelers to become ambassadors of Uganda’s beauty, promoting local tourism both at home and abroad.

Uganda is proving that tourism is not only about foreign visitors but also about the communities that make the country’s attractions thrive.
